Dripping Springs Brewery Tour

Texas Tipsy Tours offers Dripping Springs Brewery Tours and Austin Brewery Tours with pick up and drop off in Austin and the Texas Hill Country.

Just Southwest of Austin, Texas lies many large breweries with beautiful tasting rooms on stunning acres filled with expansive oak trees, all crafting Texas beer. While visiting Austin or the Texas Hill Country, get the ultimate brewery experience with a private Dripping Springs Brewery Tour with Texas Tipsy Tours!

Austin, Texas is predicted to be the top beer destination in the world for 2019! This comes as no surprise to Texans who have visited the unique microbreweries popping up all the time in Austin, featuring unique vibes and hoppy IPAs. Texans are tough critics too. It takes a lot to impress and stand out amongst the many Austin breweries!

In the Texas hill country, you will find proud locals who have lived in the area for generations. These people are the true Texans you hear about. No, they don’t ride a horse to work every day (#Texas), but they are the kindest people you have and will ever meet. They don’t know a stranger. The best advice I could give you would be to pull up a chair, grab a Texas craft beer, and chat a while.

Top Texas Hill Country Breweries:

Vista Brewing– Driftwood, Texas

This stop is typically a favorite on our Dipping Springs Brewery Tour! Owners, Kent and Karen, put thought into every single inch of this brewery, starting at its’ stunning modern chic tasting room complete with the perfect marriage of rustic wood, metal and clean lines. Their beer is brewed by a passionate, award-winning brewmaster that creates incredible beer. Unique to Vista Brewing is their Collaboration Series, highlighting local Texas artisans and non-profits and together developing a recipe and brewing together. Their beers are influenced by European traditions- balanced and approachable. Their beer is best paired with their season farm-to-table, locally-sourced bites, like their smoked Le Saison sausage. Eat and drink to your heart’s content outside in their beer garden, many acres under vast shade trees complete with picnic tables, a stage and trails. Bonus- enjoy a cold craft beer while listening to live music that frequently occurs at the brewery- a Saturday well-spent! Vista also sells beer-to-go with various options. Trust me, you will want to take some home!

Not a beer drinker? Vista Brewing also offers a curated list of wines and local ciders!

Family Business Brewing – Dripping Springs, Texas

Beerburg Brewing– Austin, Texas

Located just outside of Dripping Springs on Fitzhugh Road, minutes from other Dripping Springs breweries is Beerburg Brewing. Beerburg is dedicated to land conservation and producing a “taste of place”, showcasing what Texas has to offer. They feature a variety of beers from classical styles to seasonal varieties and their experimental Wildcraft series (featuring ingredients foraged from the land).

Other Breweries to Substitute:

Ghost Note Brewery:

Ghost Note was created with all things beer and music in mind! The name comes from a note in music. A ghost note is a subtle note that accompanies a main note but often can’t be heard. Without it though, the full harmony wouldn’t come together.

The same can go for flavors and hops. The main flavor in beer may be banana but without the subtle addition of clove the beer wouldn’t be the same!

We’ve named all of our serving tanks and fermenters after famous Texas musicians and all of our beer names are music references.

Bell Springs Brewery:

Located on the same property at Bell Springs Winery, and will all the same conveniences: options for wine, outdoor games- and an awesome food truck!

Note: No reservations for beer flights.

12 Fox Brewery:

12 Fox Brewery’s name has a special meaning- named after the army unit the owners, Joe and Aaron, served in while in Germany. While in Germany, they discovered German bier which inspired the brewery they have here today!

12 Fox features a biergarten with backyard games (very family-friendly with a playground for the kids), frequent live music and food trucks. A great space to hang out outdoors and enjoy the Texas hill country.
