What is the Best Time to Visit Austin?
Being in Texas- the climate is relatively warm all year round, and especially hot in the late summer months. Peak season is September through November and March through May.
In July and August, we have days over 100 degrees and you will want to seek refuge in the water- and Austin has lots of it! Check out our Private River Trips.
The remainder of the year is often very pleasant, with a very mild winter. In Austin, the weather can change by the minute, so we recommend layers!

You will find several wine bars and a couple of wineries inside Austin city limits, but most of the wineries are located in the Dripping Springs area (about 45 minutes from Austin) and Fredericksburg (about one a half hours from Austin).
Texas specializes in many Spanish and French varieties including Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, Sangiovese, Albarino, and Viognier. Texas has over 50 wineries in the Texas hill country!
