Texas Hill Country Strong Despite Covid-19
IMG_4888-scaled-1

Texas strong. This phrase rings true today as the Texas Hill Country fights to stay strong amongst the worldly pandemic, Covid-19 (or Coronavirus).

Texas Hill Country Wineries, Breweries and Distilleries

Due to nationwide Stay-at-home orders, the tasting rooms of our local wineries, breweries, and distilleries are forced to close their doors to walk-ins. It’s an eerie sight to drive past out favorite wineries, always bustling on the weekends, but now the parking lot is empty.

However, while you cannot go in and do a tasting or sit down and enjoy a flight of beer on-site, the wineries, breweries, and distilleries are coming up with creative ways to provide you a unique experience- and a way to drink your favorite beverages at home.

Shop Texas Wine Beer and Spirits

Order your favorite Texas wine, beer and spirits and have them shipped directly to you. Most places are offering great shipping deals- $1 or free shipping, and additionally offering discounts on their bottles. Let’s be honest, happy hour is the only thing keeping your sanity through the Stay-at-home orders- and who says Happy Hour has to start at 5 pm now, anyways? Grab bottles to pair with your staple quarantine activities:

Forget the Freshman 20, I’m working on the Covid-19

La Saison Farmhouse Ale (or my favorite Rosanna Wine-barrel Aged Brett Ale) with those pantry staple Pringles… can’t stop…

Locking Rooms and playing games… just like High School, but virtually

Treaty Oak’s Ghost Hill Bourbon for Old Fashioneds (buy Treaty Oak’s syrup mix, too!) for Heads Up on Houseparty

Wine O’Clock Zoom virtual Happy Hours

If anything can get us through to the happy hour glass of red wine, Hawk’s Shadow’s Vino del Cuore can! Or sip throughout the day, I’m not judging.

For you Cool Cats and Kittens!

You need a drink to get you through the trainwreck of Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic, Tiger King. Austin Winery’s Pet-Nat of Tempranillo, Tempranillo Nuevo, will do, or opt for something strong like their Vermouth.
