The Salt Lick BBQ Tour Experience
Have you truly experienced the Texas hill country without BBQ? The answer is no! Lucky for you, we have the perfect mix of beautiful views, elegant wines, and all the BBQ you can eat. Salt Lick BBQ is a staple in the hill country and the spot to take in the Texas vibes.
We offer the BBQ tour with two different pickup times: 10:15 am and 1:15 pm (depending on when you would like to eat – lunch or dinner). The BBQ tour also includes stops at two wineries: Fall Creek Vineyards and Duchman Family Winery. Our Salt Lick BBQ & Texas Wine Tour will include your tasting fees in the price per person. Please note that your meal cost is not included.
We take care of reservations for your tastings and strive to provide the best service with a flawless experience. Salt Lick BBQ is quite popular and can get very busy, so we recommend that you order ahead of time if you visit during peak hours on the weekends! Our drivers are an excellent resource for help on tour!

Salt Lick BBQ
Our Dripping Springs Wine and BBQ Tour star: Salt Lick BBQ! An Iconic Texas Restaurant, The Salt Lick Serves Some Of The Best Barbecue In The World. Picture this: the most massive BBQ pit you’ve ever seen that’s full of ribs, brisket, sausage links, and more delectable types of meat all smoking to perfection with a roaring fire burning underneath. Plus visit the Salt Lick Cellars next door for a local beer or wine OR BYOB!
Please note that Salt Lick does not offer reservations. Our recommendation: Decide on your order in advance, and on the morning of your tour, call in order for pick up. You can then pick up “to-go” and eat at picnic tables outside, frequent live music, BYOB but you can purchase local beer and wine from the cellars on the property.
Fall Creek Vineyards- Driftwood
Fall Creek is the oldest winery in the Texas Hill Country. While the estate-vineyard is in Tow, the Fall Creek Winery in Driftwood also offers vies of the grapes walking up to their tasting room AND a homey tasting room feeling. They do offer 100% Texas grown-grapes from several estate and farmer-owner vineyards. If you are looking for truly premium 100% Texas wine, hands down, this is a must-go for your Texas wine tasting experience. This is the best way to get a true taste of the different varietals in Texas. You won’t be disappointed! Their tasting room is beautiful estate that was previously someone’s home before Fall Creek renovated and made it their own, while still keeping the charm and comfort. Their tasting room features tables set up on the enclosed patio (great for a nice Texas-sunshine day) overlooking a pool and a beautifully manicured lawn complete with blooming flowers in the spring. Many tables are also setup inside the estate to offer a more intimate setting. Make this your first stop when planning your wine tasting in Austin!
Duchman Winery- Driftwood, Texas
Duchman is 100% Texas wine, but is a better option for Italian-wine lovers, as they often feature Italian varietals including Sangiovese, Dolcetto, and Vermentino. These grapes have been grown in the Texas high plains as the climate is most similar to that of Italy. The tasting room features Italian vibes and the entrance hosts Instagram-worthy shots.
On tour, groups of under 10 will get reservations in the tasting room (pending availability). For groups 10 and over, we will purchase wine bottles to share for your group to sit outdoors (or limited seating inside on a first come first served basis). If you are looking for a great experience with informative wine tenders, this might not be the place for you. However, if you are looking for some great Italian varietals (with 100% Texas-grown grapes) and a beautiful atmosphere, this is ideal!

- Six hours of transportation from pick up to drop off, with additional time available to purchase in advance of your tour.
- Private transportation and driver in an SUV, Mercedes Sprinter (Mercedes Sprinter Limo available for an additional upgrade fee)
- Custom pick up and drop off at a location of your choice inside Austin city limits. We also pick up in Wimberley and Dripping Springs complimentary!
