Fall Creek Vineyards on Tour

Fall Creek Vineyards- Driftwood

Fall Creek is the oldest winery in the Texas Hill Country. While the estate vineyard is in Tow, the Fall Creek Winery in Driftwood also offers views of the grapes walking up to their tasting room AND a homey tasting room feeling. They do offer 100% Texas grown-grapes from several estate and farmer-owner vineyards. If you are looking for truly premium 100% Texas wine, this is a must-go for your Texas wine-tasting experience. This is the best way to get a true taste of the different varietals in Texas. You won’t be disappointed!

Their tasting room is a beautiful estate that was previously someone’s home before Fall Creek renovated and made it their own while still keeping the charm and comfort. Their tasting room features tables on the enclosed patio (great for a nice Texas sunshine day) overlooking a pool and a beautifully manicured lawn with blooming flowers in the spring. Many tables are also set up inside the estate to offer a more intimate setting. Make this your first stop when planning your wine tasting in Austin!

Vista Brewing

This stop is typically a favorite on our Dripping Springs Brewery Tour! Owners, Kent and Karen, put thought into every single inch of this brewery, starting at its stunning modern chic tasting room, complete with the perfect marriage of rustic wood, metal, and clean lines. Their beer is brewed by a passionate, award-winning brewmaster that creates incredible beer. Their Collaboration Series is Unique to Vista Brewing, highlighting local Texas artisans and non-profits and developing a recipe and brewing together. Their beers are influenced by European traditions- balanced and approachable. Like their smoked Le Saison sausage, their beer is best paired with their seasonal farm-to-table, locally-sourced bites. Eat and drink to your heart’s content outside in their beer garden, many acres under vast shade trees complete with picnic tables, a stage, and trails. Bonus- enjoy a cold craft beer while listening to live music that frequently occurs at the brewery- a Saturday well-spent! Vista also sells beer-to-go with various options. Trust me; you will want to take some home!

Not a beer drinker? Vista Brewing also offers a curated list of wines and local ciders!

Treaty Oak Distillery

Treaty Oak Distilling Co. is the 4th oldest distillery in Texas, and until 1996, Treaty Oak was the first 1st legal distillery. Treaty Oak gets its name from “The Treaty Oak”, a Texas live oak tree in Austin that is estimated to be 200 years old. This tree has seen a lot of history and changes, and 1/3rd of the Treaty Oak was poisoned in the name of love in 1989. Treaty Oak Distilling and Co. is proud of Austin’s rich history, naming their Gin Waterloo, the original name of Austin. Treaty Oak Distilling Co. specializes in Bourbon and Gin but truly has something for all-seasonal craft cocktails, craft beer, Texas wine, as well as some of the best BBQ in the Texas Hill Country. Treaty Oak Distillery is spread out amongst beautiful, expansive grounds with games and ample seating both indoor, outdoor, and under a covered patio. I highly suggest Treaty Oak’s tour & tasting for a behind-the-scenes view of the Bourbon and Gin production and barreling facility.

For Gin, there are no rules but to use juniper berries.

For Bourbon, the rules are much more strict. In Bourbon, most of the grains must be corn. Additionally, it must be made in the US and aged in a brand new New American Oak barrel that has been charred.

Island Getaway Rum

While not on our set mixed tour, Island Getaway Rum is a great distillery to swap from another distillery if you have a rum lover in your group! Island Getaway Rum will have you feeling the beachy vibes with a Pain Killer or Mojito in hand. They also offer cocktails made with gin.

Upgrade Options:

Ask us about upgrading to a private room for you and your party or adding on a tour of the distillery!

Bell Springs Winery & Brewery

While not all 100% Texas wines, Bell Springs has some great wines. They are always trying out new blends. They have fun branding on many of their bottles- my favorite: The Needy Bitch, named after the winery dog (but many bottles have also been bought for the bride-to-be, all in good fun of course).

Bell Springs Brewing Company is one of the newer breweries to the Texas Hill Country scene. Bell Springs Brewing is a great addition to the Bell Springs family, as it offers a beer option for those who are not big wine drinkers or are just looking for something different. With some fabulous IPAs, I also really enjoyed their wheat beers. Bell Springs Brewing Co. is set up in an old home with different rooms to sit in and enjoy your beer, but I always prefer to sit outdoors on the patio under their shade trees.

Wine tasting at Bell Springs

Bell Springs often has live music to be enjoyed by both the winery and brewery. The Bell Springs property also offers great meals for drinking at their food truck, now featuring BBQ! However, his menu is frequently changing, so check here

Please note that Bell Springs seating is almost all outdoors, and they are not taking reservations.
